Improvements

At WOODBED CORP, we always look to improve in any way we can. Every year we put away something to improve how we do things. Listed below are a couple of things we’re working on right now:

With the addition of this building, we will be able to keep trucks and trailers out of winter weather. This will benefit driver safety as snow will not be inside or on top of trailers requiring time to clean snow out or off the trailer in slippery conditions.

With the addition of this equipment shop, we will be able to add to our growing fleet of trucks and equipment while keeping them separate and in good working condition.

This truck will allow us to accommodate local deliveries better while being on time.

This machine will allow us to take on bigger land-clearing jobs and feed our grinders steadily.

With over 700 horsepower, this machine has given us higher productivity and a more consistent product. It also gives us the ability to keep up with any demand, furthering your confidence in us always having products and getting them there. Our grinders are part of the reason we can guarantee next-day delivery.

We have come up with an automated system for grinding and dying products. This STATE OF THE ART system lets us grind, dye, and run a loader with ONE OPERATOR and is controlled remotely inside the loader.

Our new grinder is also a plus in the Mobile Grinding aspect of our business. Being on tracks rather than wheels and controlled from a handheld remote, this grinder allows us to process material rapidly, regardless of location. 

We have added concrete under the raw material for the dyed product. This is to prevent contaminants when loading into the grinder. We have also added a blacktop under the finished Triple ground. Blacktop under the Triple Ground now gives us blacktop under all the finished products. This is why our material is the cleanest on the market. The product does not touch the ground until your yard or customers.

We’ve added 10 acres to the yard, putting our yard nearly 40 acres. We have a few ideas of what to do with the initial space, but you can bet that it will be used to better the products we offer.

The space that we do have needs to be optimized. Our new radial stacker lets us do that. The stacker is the first the company has offered that can be rotated while in use!
